Incident details
The blaze started in dry grass close to the railway. No injuries or damage to trains were reported. The fire service maintained continuous aerial monitoring using a drone equipped with thermal and visual cameras.
Response and investigation
Twelve firefighters and four vehicles were mobilized. The Arson Crimes Investigation Unit of Western Attica was also dispatched to determine the cause. The incident remained under control throughout the evening.

Aspropyrgos lies west of Athens and hosts industrial zones and transport infrastructure. Fires in the area are monitored closely due to proximity to rail lines and populated zones.
